The Challenge
Freelancers and small studios often run billing from spreadsheets. Totals are recalculated by hand, overdue invoices are noticed late, and chasing payment means digging through email.
BillFlow needed software that makes an invoice quick to create, effortless for a client to pay, and honest about what is actually outstanding, without adding accounting software complexity.
Our Approach
We designed the data model first, because invoices, tax, discounts and payments have to reconcile exactly. Totals recalculate as you type, numbering follows your own prefix and sequence, and every amount is derived from one source.
Payment was made the path of least resistance: clients open a private link in a browser with no account, no app and no PDF attachment, and one tap settles the invoice. Statuses then update themselves, so overdue means overdue without anyone remembering to change it.
